PLN (Week 10... seriously? It's week 10 already?!)

Senuti! (is iTunes spelled backwards!)

I decided to do a PLN on Senuti because I ran into Dr. Horvath this morning when I was signing up for an advising appointment and she was wondering if there was any way to get songs off your iPod onto your computer. In fact, there is! I'm always surprised that more people don't know about this application, as it's really handy and (from what I can tell, as long as you're only using it to move music that you own) legal!

Here's a link to the Wikipedia page about Senuti. If you use iTunes and have an iPod, it's pretty cool - and a useful tool to have if your computer should ever crash and you need to get your music back on from your iPod!

  1. Allison,
When I got a laptop for college, I wondered how to get all my music from my parent's desktop without having to upload all of my CDs again. Senuti was awesome! It made it so easy for myself. However, I don't think that Apple agrees with this program, because when I asked at the store at the time of purchase, they hesitated and would not say it by name. Perhaps that has changed in the past few years.

  2. I love this! My ipod is worth more than my life because of all the music I have on it. I take it everywhere, and it has all my favorite music. I would be completely lost without it. My worst fear in life is waking up one day and losing all my files. And I know that one day this may very well be a possibility! Does Senuti keep the sound quality of the files? I'm definitely going to look into this. Thank You!

  4. Allison,

This seems like an excellent application. I regularly use my iPod for enjoyment, but also as a teaching tool. When using it as a teaching tool, I have had instances where it would be valuable to get songs off my iPod onto a computer so that I may share them with students. However, I never knew how this could be done without having to go home and access iTunes on my computer to create a CD for students. I plan on trying this application to help alleviate this challenge. Thank you for making me aware of this application. It can be a very helpful tool.
